What is Cride?
Cride is a decentralised token platform that combines on-chain identity verification with a stable, USDC-backed utility token. Only verified wallets can participate — making every transaction traceable, auditable, and regulation-ready.
How it works
Cride enforces a clear onboarding path. Every step is transparent and executed on-chain — no centralised gatekeepers, no hidden state.
Connect any EVM-compatible browser wallet (e.g. MetaMask) to the Cride portal.
Purchase a non-transferable Cride NFT that permanently binds your verified identity to your wallet address on-chain.
Complete a KYC check through our identity provider. Your personal data is AES-256 encrypted — only a hash is ever written to the blockchain.
Once verified, purchase CRD 1:1 against USDC. Cash out at any time. Your NFT status gates every transaction.
Why Cride
Every design decision in Cride prioritises verifiability, privacy-preservation, and upgradability without compromising decentralisation.
Personal data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before leaving the server. Only the SHA-256 hash of your encrypted record is stored on-chain — your personal details are never publicly visible.
Your Cride NFT is soul-bound to your wallet. It cannot be sold, gifted, or delegated. Each wallet can hold exactly one NFT, making identity spoofing structurally impossible.
CRD is redeemable 1:1 against USDC held in the Cride smart contract. There is no algorithmic peg — the value is backed by real USDC reserves at all times.
Contract ownership is held by a Safe multisig wallet requiring multiple independent signers. No single party can upgrade contracts or change parameters unilaterally.
Both the CRD token and Identity NFT contracts are UUPS-upgradeable proxies. The Safe multisig governs all upgrades, ensuring transparent and auditable changes over time.
Every token purchase, cashout, and verification status change emits on-chain events. The full history is publicly verifiable by any blockchain explorer without requiring access to our backend.
Technology
Cride is built entirely on audited open-source primitives — no proprietary lock-in, no black boxes.
Costs & Fees
All fees are fixed and enforced by the smart contract. Gas costs are paid by the user's wallet for every on-chain action. No fees are charged by Cride beyond what is listed below.
0.05 ETH — paid once, per wallet. This is a one-time fee to mint your non-transferable Cride Identity NFT. The fee is fixed in the smart contract and cannot be changed without a Safe-governed upgrade.
0% platform fee. CRD is purchased 1:1 against USDC — 100 USDC buys exactly 100 CRD. You also pay two gas transactions: one to approve the USDC spend and one to execute the purchase.
0% platform fee. CRD redeems 1:1 back to USDC — 100 CRD returns exactly 100 USDC. One gas transaction is required to execute the cashout.
All on-chain transactions require Ethereum gas, paid by your wallet in ETH. Typical gas costs at average network congestion:
When Didit completes your KYC, the Cride backend automatically updates your NFT's on-chain verification status. This gas cost is covered by the Cride identity updater wallet — you do not pay for this transaction.
There are no ongoing charges. Once your NFT is minted and your identity is verified, you can buy and sell CRD freely with no additional platform fees beyond Ethereum gas.
